Fine Artist

Newburgh based artist, Rachel Williams, has been painting for over 20 years. She enjoys capturing calm, introspective moments in her art. She is able to humanize and personify emotions of daily life. Her restrained color palette lends a soothing aspect to her subjects. She enjoys painting on a variety of surfaces such as canvas, burlap, wood, paper doilies, library cards, sheet music and vintage paper.

Rachel’s work has been exhibited in Jersey City, New York City and throughout the Hudson Valley. Her paintings adorn the walls of many private and corporate art collections. Rachel studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the School of Art and Design at Alfred University and SUNY New Paltz. She is a full time Art teacher and mother to two beautiful little girls.
